GEMARC was organized initially as an Enterprise in May 1974.Engaged in manufacturing footwear. It was re-organized as Corporation on March 16, 1997 so to take advantage of emerging, as well as the growing opportunities brought about by the economic recovery particularly in the field of construction. The company diverted its product line from shoe manufacturing to material testing equipments and laboratory apparatus under the line of Soil and Rock, Concrete and Aggregates,Cement, Asphalt and Steel. It started developing the market for batching plants, laboratory testing centers, cement companies, universities and contractors (Both private and government agencies).
In January 3, 2001, the company acquired calibrating equipment from Italy, that verifies and calibrates Compression Machines, UTM, batch plant, stressing jack and other material testing equipments.
The company represent various brands from trusted manufacturers from Italy, Taiwan, Korea, USA, Malaysia and China. Year 2005, additional testing equipments were included, for rubber, plastic, footwear, leather, paper, carton, wires and cables and helmet. It also includes Hospital and Medical equipments & supplies.
Due to high cost of imported steel products, Year 2004, the company decided to put up it’s own machine shop and complete machining equipments for fabrication of basic items conforming to ASTM and AASHTO standards. And on the same year, Service Department was put up to back up the after sales service, installation, repairs and maintenance of testing equipments.

Started as an enterprise engaged in manufacturing of safety and combat shoes.

Re-organized and registered as Corporation with the Bureau of Domestic Trade (BDT) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Diverted its product line into Material Testing Equipment and Laboratory Apparatus.
